由電玩改編而來的動畫《戰國 BASARA》，預定將自 7 月開始於日本發售動畫 DVD，同時也宣佈將推出 OVA 作品。 原作遊戲《戰國 BASARA》是以日本戰國為背景題材，融合大量的幻想要素，由於帥氣流暢的動作感、獨樹一格的角色設定以及不時穿插的逗趣劇情受到許多人的喜愛，同時也衍生了 PSP、Wii 等其他各種平台的遊戲。 自今年 4 月份開始於日本播映的動畫版作品，將自 7 月份開始發售 DVD，全 12 集的動畫預定將集結成六卷推出。因此第 13 集，也就是未曾在電視上播映的 OVA 作品，將單獨收錄在第七卷中，並預定在明年 1 月 6 日發售。 根據官方公佈的消息，「毛利元就」與「長曾我部元親」都將在第 13 集中登場。同時七卷 DVD 各自所附的特典影像，將會是 7 集 Q 版的「迷你戰國 BASARA」。
